Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of fedethics.ca and any orders you place through it. By using this website, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and FedEthics Inc. ("FedEthics", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the website fedethics.ca and any products or services offered through it. By using the site or placing an order, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. About FedEthics

FedEthics Inc. is an independent advisory and publishing company. All content and all advisory services are provided in a strictly personal capacity, independent of any government, institution, or employer. Nothing on this site represents the position of any such organization.

3. Use of the website

You may use this site for lawful, personal, and legitimate business purposes only. You agree not to:

  • use the site in any way that breaks applicable laws or regulations;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or connected systems;
  • interfere with or disrupt the site's operation or security; or
  • copy, scrape, or redistribute site content except as permitted in Section 6.

4. Orders, payment, and autographed copies

Books can be ordered directly through this site. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; FedEthics does not receive or store your full card details. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may change over time.

Where the site states that a benefit is included, we honour it as described, including:

  • Autographed copies: print orders placed directly through this site are personally signed before shipping, at no extra charge.
  • Bulk offers: qualifying orders (as described on the relevant book page) may unlock benefits such as a complimentary consultation, an author meeting, or a personalized dedication. Specific terms are set out on those pages and confirmed by us when you claim the offer.

We may decline or cancel an order if it appears fraudulent, if there is a pricing or stock error, or if we are unable to fulfil it, in which case any amount charged for that order is refunded.

5. Shipping, returns, and refunds

Delivery timelines depend on your location and fulfillment method. Should your item arrive damaged or defective, contact hello-bonjour@fedethics.cawithin 14 days. Once the original item is returned, we will promptly issue a replacement or refund to make sure you get a copy in perfect condition.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, book descriptions, framework names (including IMPACT™, DECIDE-PLUS™, FIVE-LAYER™, and CHARTER RIGHTS DECISION TREE™), logos, and design — is owned by FedEthics Inc. or its author and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of materials we explicitly provide for download.

7. Third-party services and links

This site relies on third parties such as Stripe (payments) and Google (analytics), and may link to external sites (for example LinkedIn or ORCID). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided "as is" for general information. While we aim for accuracy, we make no warranties that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and the content does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FedEthics Inc. is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and Ontario, which is the province in which FedEthics Inc. is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located there.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
